My favorite project so far has been the responsive exercise. As I worked on the exercise, each time a section became responsive it was a mini-celebration. It was exciting to see something I created look nicer and a step further into professional. My least favorite project was the redesign only because I struggled so much with it. I had a really hard time grasping divs, containers and pretty much everything CSS. I understood the definition but I learn better through examples so I didn’t get how to apply it to my own site. It wasn’t until I finished my project and looked at the trouble assignment that I understood better.
The most important thing I’ve learned in this class has been from the responsive exercise. Media queries are an essential part in making a site and I know I will continue to use it as long as I work with html. I appreciate being able to make my site responsive to different devices. Especially as an electronic media major, I have a lot of content that can’t be reflected in a typical resume. I hope that as I continue refining my site, I can use it as something I can show potential employers.
