e website is Tested.com. It was started and is still hosted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman of Mythbusters fame (with Adam having a much bigger presence on the site). They review and discuss all kinds of technology, build movie props, and have tutorial videos on such things as model painting and sculpting.
It’s a strange mashup of tech, DIY, and art and there is something for everyone on the sight. They regularly post videos and original content on their YouTube channel along with their podcast, which they also film. You can choose to subscribe to their premium content where you gain access to more in depth videos and tutorials from Adam and Frank Ippolito who was on the Syfy show Face Off. They have an outstanding staff and now that Mythbusters is coming to an end, Adam will have more time to dedicate to Tested. He is promising more in depth and larger projects and I’m looking forward to all of them.
Nice site Beau! I love learning about new technology, though I admit I’ve fallen behind on the current trends. The same can be said for my penchant for Mythbusters; I was a big fan but stopped watching when I cancelled my cable service two years ago. The site has a clean look to it and an easily interface to navigate. I am a big fan of Podcasts so I’ll give theirs a listen. I enjoy articles where I feel like I’ve learned something new in addition to being entertained instead of the typical dry news writing in standard journalism pieces. I look forward to all the entertainment and knowledge this site has to offer. Thanks for sharing!
