If you know who this little guy is, than you’ve probably also experienced the boundless joy of arguing with strangers on the internet. For those of you who don’t know, the image above is the logo for reddit, the self-styled “front page of the internet.” The easiest way to explain it is that it’s a condensed collection of every interesting thing the internet has to offer.
Why get your news from just one source when you can get it from every news agency that has ever run the story? Need to find resources for the most specific hobby imaginable? Or are you just having a bad day, and need some pictures of adorable kittens to cheer you up? All of these things and more are available on this site.
I mostly use it to keep up on current events, as they are typically updated in a manner very close to real-time. Also, if a poster lies or unintentionally posts an incorrect story or fact, thousands of people will call them out on it almost immediately. If my web browser is open, this site is always on one of my tabs.
I had a post make it to number 2 on reddit the other day. It was very exciting for me.
