I am not necessarily embarrassed that the only website that I visit everyday is Facebook, but I am not necessarily proud. I use Facebook mainly to stay in the loop on current events. I have “liked” several reputable news organizations such as: The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC World News, and Al Jazeera. I also read a lot of music blogs such as: Consequence of Sound and Pitchfork.
I use Facebook to plan get togethers and meet ups with my friends. We have a Facebook group that we all post in order to plan to meet up. Most of my friends work in Marketing and Advertising so they are stuck behind a computer most of the day and respond to posts fairly quickly.
My favorite features of Facebook are: The ability to watch videos without going to the site that it is linked to, and the “event” feature is a really handy feature for planning things to do with friends.
