Best Dressed Websites

I don’t know if I would consider myself a minimalistic person, but I love minimalistic websites.

vogue.com is a good minimalistic looking website that is well known.

I hate whenever I see a lot of ads on a popular website. When scrolling through Vogue you don’t see that. Plain text and black and white backgrounds. Doesn’t get any better than that.

Another good one is Samantha Maria’s blog. I love the big pictures and minimal colors. I don’t know why but I’m always drawn to monochromatic colors on websites. I think it’s much classier and simplistic. It’s better to go a simplistic route than with tons of colors and designs that are hard on the eyes. She lures you into her posts with her great style and then has an array of great pictures on her daily outfits.

I agree that less is more! I like to look at webpages that are nice and appealing to the eye. It’s when they start throwing different colors and multiple pictures within a small space, that they lose me! I think more websites should be more simple like your examples.

I agree. Simple and monochromatic are definitely best when it comes to website design. I think it really helps the content speak for itself instead of being distracted by lots of colors or ads.
